Hi! I am a professional forester with 12 years full time experience in this field. My brother is in Sydney and is willing to sponsor me, my wife and two kids. I already completed the requirements for sponsored skilled migration(IELTS, vetasses, etc.). My concerns is I have bronchiectasis or disease of the lungs. My extensive medical examination proved that it is not contagious and not a TB case. How does Australian immigration consider applicants with cases like mine? Would I be outrightly denied of the chance to migrate to Australia due to bronchiectasis?

With regard to your lung disease – a friend of mine had lung problems and it didn't affect them getting there visa at all – my husband had pneumonia last year in July and when they looked at his medicals / xrays they saw a mark on the lung – they made him go for a TB test which the lab had to culture over a 42 period. Once that came back clear we had no problems at all. Understably they are very weary of TB. This is just our experience.

Myself & my husband lodged application for South Australia sponsored category, got everything cleared. The only concern now is my husband has been diagnoised recently diabetic and BP, he is on medication and can be controlled, will this be a reason for rejection on medical grounds? CAn anyone help me to get more info on this?
